Something to put your felt food in...

I'm hoping to get another post up this afternoon about felt food...but I'm on my way out the door to substitute kindergarten.  (I need to get there EARLY because this chemistry and math loving teacher was NOT cut out to be a kindergarten teacher.  I need to make sure to review everything ahead of time.)

My sister Katie on Notes for a Very Red Kitchen made these awesome snack bags out of old grocery snacks.  They'd be perfect for real snacks or for holding some felt food.  If you want some tips for making your own, they're on Notes for a Very Red Kitchen

And the best part is if you don't want to make them, she's hosting GIVE-AWAY on her blog The Skinny.

If you haven't checked out The Skinny yet, you should.  It follows her and my mom as they work to lose weight and she has so many guest bloggers that there are a lot of awesome tips from regular people...so regular in fact that I write the Frugal Food Friday posts every Friday.  (Ya know...cause after having a hubby in graduate school for 6 1/2 years if I know on thing it's how to eat cheap.)  And I promise there are NO FAD diets here...it's all about eating healthier and exercising to lose weight the old-fashioned and healthy way.  Check it out...and come back later today or tomorrow for the next felt food tutorial.

  1. I LOVE the idea of reusable snack bags. I feel so guilty every time I use a piece of plastic once and throw it away! And better yet, these are recycling plastic that would otherwise be tossed, along with the baggies.
