Silent Night...

...our house is pretty silent right now.  Even Hubby is in bed as I've been finishing up the gift wrapping and filling the stockings.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning, reading the Christmas story with the kids, going to church, and coming home to open presents (if we can get the kids to wait that long.)

Here's a quick view around our house tonight this morning.

Our Christmas Tree squeezed between our sofa and front door with an assortment of meaningful little ornaments...
And lots of brown paper wrapping...

Did I mention that three of those hold the quilts I actually finished for each of the kiddos.  I'm still amazed I pulled it off.

And I love our mantel this year.

We'll get our nice (read...breakable) nativity set out tomorrow morning when we read the Christmas story, but the kids have been having fun playing with our kid-proof ones.

And before sending our kiddos off to dream of sugarplums dancing and all that...we cooked our second annual Christmas Eve pizza (and not to break with tradition, we didn't think to take a picture of it until it was cut)...

And let them open their new pajamas...

And I'm happy to have these few peaceful spots to look at...because a lot of the rest of the house is a mess.

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, along with a few quiet moments to reflect on the birth of our Savior and His gift to us.

  1. Super cute, Polly. I love the way your nativity picture turned out. And I was so delighted to get one too! Thank you! I'll have to give you a call and chat once the crowds die down a little here. And I loved our personalized book ornaments--especially mine. :)

Love your house, loved the gifts, love you!

  2. We love our wall hanging! Those are great photos of the kids in their jammies. I'm excited to see pictures of their quilts!
