As I've been searching for things to finish off our costumes, I've come across some other fun accessories that were just too fun not to share..and are oh so wearable the rest of the year too.
Keep reading for all the links...
With Katie choosing to be Hermione, I thought one of these Time Turner necklaces would be awesome. I ordered mine from a different shop...but it had to come all the way from China, but the one from this shop looks exactly the same and you could get it in time for Halloween..
Becca's little bit of bling for her Ginny Weasley costume came from my own shop. She's wearing a Golden Snitch Necklace.
If you've got Luna Lovegood or her father in your Harry Potter Halloween group, then you're sure to want a Deathly Hallows necklace, from my shop.
Also from my shop, I now offer Fleece Hogwarts House Scarves or you an make your own using my tutorial.
I'm still figuring out a Gryffindor tie for my kids' costumes. It's actually harder than you'd think to find red and gold striped fabric. You could skip the tie all together and go for one of these Gryffindor Tie necklaces instead from Rae Gun on Etsy. She also them in other Hogwarts House colors.
My original plan for Anson had been to draw glasses on his face with face make-up, but then I worried he would smear it. These necklace with Harry Potter glasses from Six Astry seemed like a fun option, but I wasn't sure how he'd tolerate the chain hanging around his neck.
As cute as those were, though, I wasn't sure they'd get here from Singapore in time...so I ordered the cheap plastic Harry Potter glasses from Amazon (affiliate link). I probably would have ordered the "real" looking ones (affiliate link), but I didn't think glass ones would work for an 18 month-old.
After coming across this adorable owl hat from Over the Apple Tree, it makes me wish I had a baby to dress up as a Hedwig to add to our group.
And these don't have anything to do with Harry Potter...but they're fun anyway...
How awesome would this Star Trek Command Necklace from Jewels of Steel be to go with a Star Trek costume .
Zombies are really in lately, and I think this Biohazard Necklace from Boutique Academia would be a fun addition to a zombie costume and also be great to wear afterward as well. (Note: Boutique Academia is a sponsor, but I was not asked to nor compensated for including her pieces in this round-up. I just love her stuff.)
You know I love The One Ring from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. You can find them at Boutique Academia or try entering my giveaway here.
I'm guessing there will be more Ender's Game costumes next year after the movie has come out...but if you're trying to get a jump on the trend, these Dragon Army Dog Tags from All Dunn Creative on Etsy would b perfect.
What are you going to be for Halloween?
Please show my sponsors some love...

I am loving all the necklaces. The one I won from Boutique Academia I actually ended up giving to my sister, but they have such great items and they are even better in person. The gang looks so cute in their Hogwarts scarves. I bet they are excited for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteI kind of want all of them. Like really! Thanks for including my little gryffindor necklace.
ReplyDeleteWe are BFFs. The end. ;) What a great round up! Awesome that your kiddos are being HP characters. My kids are characters from The Princess Bride this year. :)
ReplyDeleteActually, I think we have a mutual friend- Janelle!
Thanks for all the great ideas, I love the thought of being able to wear part of your costume throughout the year :)
ReplyDeleteOnce you're finished with your kiddos' costumes, I'd love it if you linked up to my Costume Party next week on my blog!
