Big Girl Recycled Ruffle Demin Skirt - Hand-Me-Down REHAB

This is mostly a show-off, since I made it the same way as my previous skirt for Firecracker.  If you're interested in the tutorial, though, you can click here for the pre-schooler version or here for the infant version.

I think I'll probably applique something onto this skirt, but I haven't decided what yet.
It's perfect for running around outside...because hey, it's denim...what can happen to it?

Now I hesitate to say this because everytime I do, it seems it takes a while for it to show up...but if you like the sporty T-shirt, I'll have a tutorial for it soon.  It started life as an adult size small and transformed into Firecrackers size without any hemming or finishing work except the 5-Minute Ruffle Hem.

  1. I can't believe how big she looks in this Skirt! For most of these cute skirts, do you just use the old torn up demin jeans and reuse them for these projects? I have a stack of cute little tshirts and jeans that you can resize for Firecracker if you want them. I can stuff them into a box and ship them.

  2. The skirt is great! You don't even need any extra details but a cute applique would be fun!

I have a weekly Thursday blog party especially for people to share things they've made to be worn. Stop by if you'd like!

  4. Very cute!! I ripped some jeans the other day and I purposely put them in my fabric stash because I had seen your tutorial from the black skirts you made. Good work!!
