Felt Food: Bow Tie (Farfalle) Pasta - Twelve Days After Christmas

I had a whole list of things to do for the kids for Christmas. Most of them did not get done. Fortunately Firecracker's birthday is only a few weeks away, so I can use some of those projects for that. We decided to focus on play food for the kids for her birthday, so I started with these oh, so easy Bow Tie Noodles that I saw on Treasures for Tots.

They were super easy and Angie did a really great photo tutorial for them. Since my camera is terminally ill, I just took a few pictures with what I did a bit differently, and I'll send you over to her blog for better pictures and directions.

I got tired of holding the noodles until the glue cooled, so I grabbed a pair of pliers from Hubby's toolbox. I didn't squish it tight, just enough to hold the fold together. (If you squish it too tight, you an see a square shaped imprint where it was held down.) I put one dot on the middle on one side, then squished it with the pliers and set it down while I did the next one. Then I put two dots of glue on each side of that, but on the other side of the felt. Then I squished it again. These were super fast. I was able to get the whole lot in about 10 minutes. You just need a tiny bit of glue...usually just the tad that was starting to drip out while the glue gun was waiting.

You can expect quite a few play food posts to show up in the next few weeks as I get ready for Firecracker's birthday.
