Felt Scrambled Eggs - Felt-Food Cook-Along - Day 13

I made the typical sunny-side-up eggs for the kids.  You see a lot of them on felt food posts.  As I was making them, Boy was interested in them and asked what they were.  I turned the question back to him and asked him what he thought.  He said, "A sun!"  We don't really eat sunny-side-up eggs at our house...around here they're all scrambled, so he didn't recognize them.  I figured we better whip up a scrambled version.  I didn't do a super exhaustive search for scrambled eggs, but in the searching I did do, I never found any...so as far as I know, this is a Helping Little Hands original.  If you'd rather have sunny-side-up eggs, there are a bunch of terrific people who linked up to our share MckLinky...or I'll be doing my own tutorial for them tomorrow.
So here we go for scrambled eggs...

Materials:  Yellow and White felt, thread, sewing machine, stuffing or shredded felt scraps, free-motion foot optional

My original thought was to do these like the pizza sauce, but with two colors since scrambled eggs (at least at our house) are mostly yellow with a few white clumps popping through.  So I cut out a bunch of smallish yellow blobs and a few small white blobs and layered them until I was happy.  Then I pinned them, so they wouldn't move around too much while I was sewing.
Then I used my free-motion foot (We're getting to be friends, my free-motion foot and I.) to sew all over in squiggles on it.  If you don't have a free-motion foot, a regular foot will work too.
Once I got it to this point, though, and I just wasn't happy with it.  It was too flat, so I took the whole sewed together blob and pinned it to some solid yellow.  Then I sewed around the edges, leaving an opening.
You could add stuffing, but I just stuffed it with some chopped up felt scraps...mostly because I'm cheap that way, but I think it was a perfect choice because scrambled eggs are supposed to be a bit lumpy that way.  I just stuffed it a little to give it some dimension.
Then I sewed it closed, and it was ready to be added to breakfast.
