Graham Cracker and Frosting Messages

When I was little my mom used to spread left over frosting onto graham crackers for a special treat.  My kids love it too, but we do it just a little bit different.  After making cupcakes last week, we had some extra frosting, so we made these.

They love to have their names or other fun messages written on them.  The upside to this is it doesn't get any dishes dirty.

Once I've frosted my cake or cupcakes, I load the leftover frosting straight into a ziploc baggie.
When we're ready for a sweet little treat, I just snip the corner of the baggie off.  (If your frosting has been in the fridge, you may need to let it sit out a bit and warm up to soften.)  Don't make it too big...start out small and you can always make it bigger if you need to.
Then I pipe the frosting directly out of the bag onto the cracker.
Instant YUM!

What will you write on a cracker?

  2. Cute! Seems like you could write words to reinforce a preschool lesson, or family home evening topic, or words the kids are trying to learn. Hmmm...I'll bet my Young Women class would love snacks with the key words from the lesson...
