Pi-rate (pirate) Shirt - Freezer Paper Stencil Pattern

Katie needed a new Pi shirt this year since she'd outgrown the one I made her two years ago.  I had a couple ideas and was about to go for just a plain Pi symbol when I did a quick google search for "pi puns."

That's when I saw the Pi-rate pun and figured it was perfect for her this year since she's still wearing an eye patch for a couple hours each afternoon (when her parents remember...she's intentionally terrible about remembering her patch on her own...hence the grumpy look when she realized the shirt was likely to help us remember to have her put her patch on.

This is just some simple freezer paper stenciling.  Then I added the patch using some easy applique using a T-shirt scrap.

The font I used is Treasure Map Deadhand...which didn't have a Pi symbol as part of their font, so I modified a Pi-symbol to match.  You can get the free Printable Pi-rate Template Here or by clicking the picture below.

  1. This is too cute! Pinning for sure!

  2. Laughing so hard right now! I have a friend that would love this! Thanks for sharing. I'll have to remember for next year!
