Sliced Bell Peppers - Felt Food Cook-Along Day 7

After today you should have a pretty complete pizza.  We'll top things off with some sliced red and green bell peppers.  The green looks best on the pizza for variety, but I made some red bell peppers to go in the fajitas we'll be cooking up tomorrow.  Also, please excuse the following blurry pictures.  They were among the last taken with my terminally ill camera.

Materials: Red and green felt, thread, sewing machine (although you could do these by hand), sharp scissors

First I free hand cut out the pepper to have three humps.  None of them are exactly the same.  Then I pinned them to keep them from slipping.  (It would probably be even better to use the method we did for the pepperoni and just cut out one side, sew it, and then trim the second side.
Sew around the edge.  I did this with my free-motion foot, but it would probably work even better with a regular foot.  (I was just having fun practicing my free-motion sewing.)  I sewed around them twice to give them a little more width.
Use a sharp pair of scissors to cut around the inside of the stitching.
You're done!
