Teddy Bear Counting - Read Along with Lily and Oak

Today is Pi-Day!!!  So of course we've got an awesome Math themed book for you.  Lisa from Lily and Oak is sharing Teddy Bear Counting by Barbara Barbieri McGrath.

We got this book a couple months ago through Firecracker's book order...and now after seeing what Lisa's done with it, I believe we haven't opened it!!  My kids loved the candy hearts activity we did last month, so I know this will be a hit.  We're going to be doing this for preschool as soon as I can get my hands on some gummy bears.

Lisa's got graphing, shapes, patterns, and other activities that she's put together in a free printable for you.

And while you're at her blog...you'll get a good laugh if you see the trouble her kids got into here, and if you're looking for fun birthday cake ideas, check out Lisa's post here.
And I really can't have Lisa as a guest and not tell you how awesome she is.  Lisa is one of my best "real-life" friends.  We go way back to long before blogs, and facebook, and kids...clear back to when we were very first married.  Our husbands were roommates before Hubby and I got married.  Lisa and I swapped stories and offered moral support through student-teaching, real-teaching, putting our husbands through PhD programs while far away from our extended families, and having our first kids.  Now that are husbands are no longer in grad school, we no longer live near each other, but we're still good friends.

Lisa recently opened up her own shop...also called Lily and Oak where she sells a variety of quality handmade gifts...everything from wax melts and glass tile pendant necklaces and magnets.

If you're just now joining us, be sure to visit our Read-Along Archives to see the books we've already read.
