Easy Little Man Tie for Easter

I've got some exciting tutorials coming up.  I was hoping to have one of them for you today...but it's not quite ready.  Instead, I thought I'd remind you of one of my exciting OLD tutorials, since some of you are new readers, or you might have just plain forgotten.

Back when I first started my blog I did a tutorial for making little boy neckties out of a regular necktie and elastic (no sewing machine required!).  Depending on the tie and how wide it is, you can even get TWO ties (a little boy tie and an infant tie) out of one grown-up tie.

Here's Little Brother in one I made for him after making the tutorial.  You can either grab a tie from the thrift store or one from Dad's closet.  In just 15-20 minutes your little man can have a new Easter tie.

Doesn't he look sharp?

A tie so cool he even looks handsome playing in the dirt.

And it's comfortable enough, he doesn't even know it's there most of the time...and if he does notice it, he can't take it off...a big advantage over clip-ons.

You can find my tutorial for the ties here or if you like his church pants that you can make from a pair of garage sale pants without a pattern, click here.  (These pics were taken last summer, so these particular church pants are now way to short on him... I need to make another pair.)

  1. I'm still on the lookout for the perfect tie for my husband to wear on Easter, so now if I find it, I can buy two and have one for Baby B! Thanks for posting this!
