Best Boogie Wipers

...or snot rags...or nose wipers...mucus mops...or hankies...whatever you want to call them.

We've been using plenty of them lately.  The kids just got over one cold when Sweet Pea's nose strarted running overtime again.

"Mom! Wipe nose!!"

So I thought I'd let you in on a little secret...the best thing about flannel or knit burp clothes...is that when the kids grow out of them, they haven't really grown out of them.  They turn out to be the BEST nose wipers around.  They're soft on those poor little noses, and thick enough that the snot doesn't soak through them.  And when they get nasty, you just toss them in the next load of laundry.

And then your little one is all smiles again...

...and trying to grab the camera from you because it's SO FUNNY!

So you might want to whip a few of these up, even if you don't have a newborn in the house.  My tutorial for how to make burp cloths nose wipers is here.

And you can click here if you want the big sister burp cloth nose wiper version.

And I could pretend that all those sniffles are the reason I haven't been posting more tutorials lately...but the real reason is that I've been spending more time working on projects rather than writing about them.  Don't worry though. I've been taking pictures of everything and tutorials and show-off will be coming.

But I've got an hour before Firecracker gets home from school and there's a project calling.

  1. Lucky you that you can even GET her to blow her nose – my son is 7, and STILL won't blow his nose!

  7. I am notorious for grabbing burp cloths and wiping a nose, especially when they are sitting in a basket right next to the rocker.
