Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String...

 ...and fabric...and felt...and wire...and sewn...and hot glued...

I was hoping to get all of our out of town presents in the mail by last Friday...not because they needed to be to arrive on time, but because I wanted to be able to check that off my list and concentrate on the things I need to get ready for the kids, neighbors, etc.

Well...it didn't happen Friday...or Monday...or Tuesday...but it DID happen today!!

Well, mostly.  There are a few more to package up, but they should be comparatively easy...so just let me not count those for now, so I'll feel like I've finished.

Anyway, I've mentioned several times that I'm trying to be more creative in my wrapping...and I think I was pretty successful...especially when you consider that many of these wrappings coordinate with what's underneath the brown paper...but I can show you those treasures because some of the recipients ready my blog.

I'm hoping to share more pictures with a few how-to's...but for now you'll just need to click on the picture if you want to see something closer up...because I'm tired...and I do want to go finish up those last few things to get mailed off tomorrow.

I will say this...I used brown paper, wire, fabric scraps, yarn, beads, felt, buttons, and a glue gun and sewing machine to put all this together...oh yeah...and a little tape.  Only a couple of very small gifts were wrapped in boxes...I needed them to be flexible and squishy to make sure they fit together in the smallish-larger boxes they were going to be mailed in.
