Tiny Guy Tie Applique Template

Here's another project that I finished a year ago and never managed to get it posted.  I thought now would be a good time with Easter coming up.
I was reminded of it when I went to make a friend a baby shower gift...paired with some Comfy Newborn Cuffed Pants in grey or black.

Introducing the Tiny Guy Tie...for those little guys who want to look sharp, but will just get swallowed up in a collared button-down shirt.

This onesie is about as easy as they come.  All you need are some fabric scraps, Heat'n Bond Lite or similar product, and a sewing machine.  I prefer to use knit T-shirt scraps, so the tie has a little give in it similar to the onesie, but it will work just fine with regular woven fabric too.

I like to find something with a fun strip on it to mimic real ties.  Cut the main tie part out at an angle and the top of the tie straight with the stripes. (You might recognize these fun stripes from here.)

You can get the printable template for the Tiny Guy Tie here.

If you need a refresher on appliqueing with knits, you can see my tutorial here.

Your little guy will look this cute in no time.
