Hogwarts Library Book Plates - Free Printable for Harry Potter Fans
These printable book plates make an easy and inexpensive gift or party favor for any Harry Potter fan.
For Christmas I made personalized book plates to put in each of the kids' stockings.
Katie's were some Harry Potter themed ones in the form of "Property of Hogwarts Library." Katie lost no time in adding some to the Harry Potter books in our collection. (Don't you love that Gryffindor scarf her birthmom crocheted her for Christmas?!?)
Since I still had lots of extra labels, we thought they'd make a fun addition to the party favors from Katie's Harry Potter Party (see other details here)...
...especially since each child was asked to bring a book (used was fine) to exchange instead of bringing a birthday present. To make things easier, I made the ones for the party generic ones rather than having the child's name already printed.
The kids loved them. I gave one to each child and had them write their name on it. Then we gathered the up and drew out the book plates and called each child up to choose a wrapped book in the book exchange. Then they could put the bookplate right inside their new book, so we could make sure each book went home with the right child.
I couldn't get it to work right uploading it to Google Drive as a Word Document, but you can download and print the PDF version here. You will need Avery 8164 (or same size labels of another brand (6 to a page...3.33'' by 4'') for this to print well.
Or if you want to use a different size label, you can download and resize this jpg. This is free for personal use, but please do not repost it or try to sell it.
I have lots of Harry Potter inspired gifts and fun things in my shop. The selection is always changing.
See these links for more details about other Harry Potter themed crafts we've done...and be sure to check back because I'll be adding more as I get them written up.
